Utley – Cause for Concern?

Um, yeah. As a precautionary measure Phillies team doctors at the direction of GM Ruben Amaro Jr. preformed an MRI which revealed Chase Utley has tendinitis in his right knee. So is this a cause for concern? In my opinion, yes, I really think so. Utely has been plagued with injury. Now I don’t think it’s fair to say that he is deteriorating like others have claimed. You can’t say that breaking his hand a few years ago was his fault, or that that fluke injury to his thumb in 2010 was the result of anything other then a freak accident, but Chase probably does push himself too hard and he’s now seeing the adverse effects of rigorous training.
