Jagr nails overtime winner in Winnipeg thriller

It was one of those games that saw an explosive offense bail out another poor outing from the defense and their struggling goaltender.
The Flyers were finally able to beat Ondrej Pavelec and the Winnipeg Jets 5-4 in overtime Tuesday night thanks to the man who ended things with a salute.
Jaromir Jagr’s overtime game-winner avoided another epic Ilya Bryzgalov meltdown turning up as another loss. Wayne Simmonds’ game tying goal with 10 seconds remaining in regulation.
“You got to play 60 minutes, you never know,” Jagr said. “You look around, a lot of games this year, scoring goals in the last seconds. You don’t give up until it’s over.”
