ON MONDAY night, Andy Reid switched from football coach to cheerleader. We are, of course, talking figuratively. Don’t try to envision Andy in a short skirt with his midriff exposed or you’ll burn your corneas and have nightmares for months. Responding to ESPN reports that Donovan McNabb has lost weight and is in shape, Reid said he would recommend the former Eagles quarterback to NFL teams.

Peters re-injures Achilles tendon

Peters first ruptured his Achilles tendon on March 27 while working out in Texas.

Andy Reid said today that Jason Peters was out “indefinitely.” After the Eagles tackle re-ruptured his Achilles tendon it’s safe say that he is definitely out for the season.

No Eagle had more eyes watching him Saturday than Nick Foles. As a quarterback, he naturally drew attention from the media and from a trio of coaches – Andy Reid, offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, and quarterbacks coach Doug Pederson – all of whom make a priority of mentoring signal-callers.

The first quarterback drafted by Andy Reid went down the corridor one way at the NovaCare Complex on Saturday as the most recent one was headed in the other direction. If Donovan McNabb took note of Nick Foles, a 6-foot-5 doorstop from Austin, Texas, and the University of Arizona, who is kind of hard to miss, that note went unrecorded.
