Of all of the Flyers’ rookies who stepped up this past season, Matt Read’s strong first-year campaign was simultaneously the most and least surprising.

One of the issues the Flyers sought to correct last off-season was the overload of natural centers in the lineup.

Over the course of this week, I will be looking in depth at each of the Flyers rookies and players under the age of 25. First up is Sean Couturier.

In the rubble of what started out as a glorious playoff run, it is tough to focus on what was overall a season of progress for the Philadelphia Flyers.
