The Phillies just absolutely punish bad teams.
Past two years, there was too much "playing down to the level of the competition"
Not this year. No mercy to bad teams.

For the love of Monkees, let's not have a third straight "one inning too many" from Walker

Feel a little bad for Luzardo, but it's 90% likely he'll be pitching in October for someone.

Day off for Schwarber, who's sore.

These do not look like the lineups of a team that's 27-12, lol

No Marsh (because of LHP), Turner or Schwarber.

It's too bad they can't stick Clemens in LF.

Right now our All-Stars are Harper, Bohm, Wheeler, Suarez

Hoffman and Nola are not far off

Give Suarez $200M already. I do not require more evidence.

1.50 ERA this season.
1.62 ERA in 33 career playoff innings

Re: Phillies' 2024 GDT #39: 5/10/24 Phillies(26-12) @ Marlins(10-29) - 7:10pm

The thing that makes Soto hard to assess is that he's generally (not always) better in high-pressure situations than mop-up situations. You don't want to give up on a lefty who can throw 99, but right now he's the last guy in a playoff bullpen. They're probably going to need two guys to complement A...

In my mind, Suarez is pitching every game like he's mad at himself for Game 7 of the NLCS
(that loss was not on him, of course)
