The Parsons stuff is hilarious, though.
He wants to be an Eagle more than Mike Trout wanted to be a Phillie.

And Dallas just puts up with it! Can you imagine if there was an Eagles standout who was a Texas Longhorns grad, and all he did was fawn over the Cowboys?

Re: The 2024 NFL Draft: April 25-27 - Detroit, Mi

The consensus last year was also that the Eagles creamed the rest of the NFL in the draft and got the best players and the biggest steals. That might still end up being true of the 2023 draft. But by the end of the 2023 season, the verdict was a lot less resounding on that draft It will be years bef...

Best cornerback in the draft.
Was ranked as high as #10 overall on some draft boards.
The # of teams drafting QBs helped, because Mitchell does not fall anywhere near #22 most years.

Nice shutout win.
Only quibble is you want to see the pitchers be more efficient. Wheeler uncharacteristically giving up more walks than usual lately.

Not sure I understand having Kerkering do a 40-pitch outing, which kind of sidelines him for the first 2 games of Padres series.

Wheeler awesome, with the only quibble that it took 100 pitches to get through 6 innings. We'll need 9 outs from the pen.

I wish we could go to October RIGHT NOW with the way Wheeler-Nola-Suarez are pitching.

Boras' big clients:

Jordan Montgomery: Had to settle for a 1-year deal with Arizona

Blake Snell: 11.57 ERA with Giants, going on IL with left adductor strain

Cody Bellinger: One-year deal with Cubs (with player options)

1. Turnbull isn't staying in the rotation 2. Even if Turnbull WERE staying in the rotation, he's going to be capped around 90 innings this season, given how little he's thrown the past couple of years. So he would just be Strahm 2.0 (for 2024), starting for about 40% of the season and then going to ...
