Re: Phillies' 2024 GDT #24: 4/23/24 Phillies(15-8) @ Reds(12-10) - 6:40pm

1. Turnbull isn't staying in the rotation 2. Even if Turnbull WERE staying in the rotation, he's going to be capped around 90 innings this season, given how little he's thrown the past couple of years. You want to stay in the hunt for the division for as long as possible. I know WC worked out fine the past two years, but staying out of that series is the easier path.

Atlanta's hitting way better than us, but our SP is far superior and at some point their thin pitching is going to cool them off.

At some point, Clemens is going to make more sense for the bench than Pache.
At this point, though, you wait as long as possible to make that decision, in case Merrifield actually IS Josh Harrison 2.0

I've never seen anyone faster, including Rollins, Dernier or Stone.
He wasn't here very long, but Gary Redus was incredibly fast.

Also, I think (young) Juan Samuel belongs in the conversation.

Bohm's OBP is now above .400

I hate to be Mr. Jinx, but it needs to be said that Ranger Suarez is a legitimate Cy Young Award candidate.
