Honest question. When was the last time the Birds had a starting QB that consistently (or even semi-consistently) led their receivers? Jalen doesn't, Carson didn't, Donovan didn't.

I loved the Gainwell pick when it was made, and I still like his upside. But like Miles, he needs to break that first tackle.

I don't see a run happening since he falls down when somebody blows on him. But I can see him sneaking out of the backfield for a 20+ yard pass and breaking down a CB for extra yardage.

I've said it before and I'll stick with it unless something changes. Jalen reminds me most of Kordell Stewart. Great running instincts, not great with accuracy and some issues in finding a second or third receiver. Kordell helped get the Steelers deep into the playoffs, but much of that was based on...

Tampa came into this game determined to put the game on Hurts. He didn’t respond. Needs to be way better to even have a chance. I'd start by putting DeVonta on short crossing routes while letting Goedert stay in the seam about 15+ yards upfield. that gives two good looks in the middle of the field.
