I try not to get worked up about Cooperstown any more, but this is indeed some bullshit.

Low-key but potentially great move by the Red Sox picking up Alex Binelas in that JBJ trade with with the Brewers. Basically, they bought Binelas by eating JBR's ugly contract. .... Binelas a corner outfielder thumper who is the #65 prospect in MLB.

It's nice to think there's a team that doesn't think rebuild means full tank.

If they're trying to contend AND stay under what the 2021 "cap" was, then Knebel for 1/10 is not a good use of coin.

So I will give them the benefit of the doubt (LOL) and assume this means their payroll in 2022 will go over the cap (LOL)
