Re: 2023 Phillies Postseason News & Discussion
Matt Gelb @MattGelb Phillies opened their Stay Ready camp in Clearwater. They’ll have Marchan, Hall, Clemens, Wilson, Bellatti, Brogdon, Marte, Moore, Nelson, Ortiz and Plassmeyer there having daily workouts in case of postseason emergencies. Hope this doesn't mean they've already ruled out Wilson f...

Re: 2023 Phillies Postseason News & Discussion
Diamondbacks win today to take firmer grip on the #2 spot and a trip to Philadelphia.
They are planning to start Gallen on Friday and Kelly on Saturday.
If so, those two would be in line to start Games 2 and 3 in Philadelphia, making Game 1 must-win for the Phillies.

2023 Phillies Postseason News & Discussion
Leading off, and little surprise:
Matt Gelb
@MattGelb
Zack Wheeler starts Game 1 on Tuesday. Aaron Nola has Game 2. Nola won’t pitch again this season. He’ll take the extra rest.
I would have to suspect Suarez gets Game 3, if needed.

In good news for the Phillies, the #2 and #3 wild card teams are going to have to push hard with all their pitching through Sunday. Things are actually looking pretty good for the Marlins, schedule-wise. Cubs facing two division winners that will be holding back some guys. Arizona facing the Astros ...

Yes, we should set one up.
Hopefully we can guide Thomson toward strategies that will make Red October last longer than 2 games. Four series would be nice.

I sacrifice myself upon the altar of "I'm sorry, I'm a total asshole."
Please come back and celebrate tonight's clinching and discuss possible playoff uses for Rodolfo Castro.
We need your reverse-jinx, cautiously semi-optimistic approach for the upcoming postseason and for all games.

RIP, Brooks Robinson
As the eloquent Jayson Stark says: This is the saddest news of a magical Baltimore baseball summer. Brooks Robinson was a legend and a Baltimore baseball icon. But more than that, he was a beautiful person with a warm smile for everyone he met and a love of baseball that shined brightly every day of...
