Re: 2022 MLB Spring Training & resumption of free agency

Girardi says that MRI showed Herrera has a mild strain. Will probably miss Opening Day. Could miss 4-6 weeks total. The Phillies have played a lot of guys in CF so far and none of them have been that impressive, but not one of them is that bad that they had to bring Odumbell back. All the Phils rea...

Re: 2022 MLB Spring Training & resumption of free agency

Braves sign Colin McHugh to a two-year deal. Does anyone else think it might be a better signing than the two guys the Phils just signed? I'll actually take the two the Phils signed. I prefer two 30- or 31- year olds over a 35 year old - regardless of position. Signing relieves is something you do ...

Re: 2022 Eagles Offseason Discussion

Myles Jack has been cut. Despite having a down year last year, he would instantly become the best LB the Eagles have had since....? Also, he is just 26 and it's going to be his 7th year in the league :o Not after the coin they dished out for Reddick. Same type player Perhaps when they were coming i...

Re: 2022 Eagles Offseason Discussion

The Reddick signing has me really thinking (that's the burning wood you smell). Haasan works off the blitz. That's where he performs as a 90%er. No blitz, he's just another guy. The Eagles, I'm sure know this. Gannon's defense was very passive overall and I think that's because there wasn't much tal...

Re: 2022 MLB Spring Training & resumption of free agency

Knebel-Hand-Familia is simultaneously weird as hell and the most Phillies bullpen ever. It would be nice to see Dominguez reassert his 2018 form this year, but of course the Phillies are correct not to count on that. To be fair, on paper, it's not as bad as you guys want to put it. Can it end up te...

Love Senzel. Would be a great pickup for a team that has the +/- area of taking on the risk. I just don't see the Phillies being near that option.

Re: 2022 MLB Spring Training & resumption of free agency

Feel like Harper was pretty strong today with his expectations that they spend at least to the 230 number. Also praised Steve Cohen. Think if Mids doesn’t, this is gonna become a problem. Kind bummed that my favorite team signing my favorite non Phillie ended up with a front office and ownership wh...

Re: 2022 MLB Spring Training & resumption of free agency

The haul for Reynolds would be 4 of the Phillies top prospects...they would want a package like, Painter Rojas O'Hoppe and Stott. For a 27 year old CF with a .900 OPS and above-average defense. Yeah. I'd probably do it. One of the reasons is that shortstop is actually much more plentiful than it wa...

Re: 2022 MLB Spring Training & resumption of free agency

And with Abel and Painter, the Worst Case scenario is that you hold onto them and they're Kyle Drabek. The Best Case scenario, is that they arrive as solid pieces of the rotation in 2024, just as the Harper/Realmuto/Wheeler window is starting to close A kid like Painter is ideal to move to a team l...
