Re: Hoskins Hurt - KNEE

Some folks have mentioned Luke Voit for a possible platoon with Hall, but the catch with him is that he has reverse-platoon splits -- he's RH batter who hits righties far better than lefties. If we end up looking to add a piece, we need a part-time righty who can mash lefties -- someone like Darin R...

Re: Hoskins Hurt - KNEE

Maybe.

Les Bowen
@LesBowen

Of course I fervently hope Rhys Hoskins isn’t seriously injured but the “hey he’s walking in it!” takes … sigh. We all know better than this re ACLs by now. Or we should.

Re: Hoskins Hurt - KNEE

Even if you think Hall will be solid, he was already getting 50% of the at-bats as DH, so this means more starts for whatever combination of Cave, Guthrie, Sosa, etc. Lot pressure on Bohm & Castellanos to keep this lineup solid

Re: Hoskins Hurt - KNEE

fingers crossed

Rob Thomson on the NBC Sports Philadelphia: "It's concerning. I'm not sure what it is yet. They're checking him out now. ... He's had some knee issues in the past. Maybe it was more fear than pain. They said he was walking around in the clubhouse afterwards."

Re: Hoskins Hurt - KNEE

Well, shit. First, hope Hoskins in OK. One thing at a time, and let's see what's up. We have a major problem from the right side if Castellanos can't be productive. And we must give Realmuto regular off days in the first half. Maybe be time to see if Bohm can handle more pressure at-bats. Something ...

Re: 2023 Eagles Offseason Discussion

The Bijan Robinson buzz is growing. I certainly understand the "scoring 35 points a game is the best defense" approach, but I don't know about a RB at #10 Isiah Pacheco KILLED us in the Super Bowl and he was a seventh-round rookie. I tend to think it's easier to find hidden gems on offense...

Re: Phillies' 2023 ST GDT #24: 03/22/23: Phillies(13-11) @ Rays(13-11) - 6:05pm

I hope they use some of the Triple-A arms aggressively, if only to conserve innings for the guys they'll need in the stretch run. I promise I won't complain about any stinker outings by Plassmeyer, Sanchez, Vasquez in April and early May. The other issue right now is that Nelson (who I don't even lo...

Literally no positives to report from today's 6-2 loss.
Walker got roughed up.
Would like to see the starting pitchers getting a little sharper as the regular season looms.
Also, let's get those Team USA stars into the lineup and start scoring runs in bunches.

Re: The Official Unofficial 2023 Phillies Spring Training Thread

Have to admit that Darvish is easily in my Top 5 favorite non-Phillies
