Re: Flyers' 2021-2022 GDT #59: 03/13/22 Canadiens(15-35-8) @ Flyers(18-30-10) - 7pm
I'll be happy when it's March 22. The TDL will be passed so there will be no reason to play some of these veterans who suck. What this organization is putting out on the ice is pathetic. It takes a lot of gall to charge admission to watch this show. Comcast should be ashamed of what they have allowe...

Re: 2022 MLB Spring Training & resumption of free agency
Since Schwarber would likely be a shorter deal, I don't see how he's cost much less than Bryant in 2022, so they might actually be better off with Bryant on a 5-6 year deal, spreading out the money. Schwarber had a hot May and June which caught everyone's attention. The rest of the season was not a...

Re: Chase Utley discussion
Sorry but I'd say Chase. Higher WAR, more power-HRs, RBIs, OBP, SLG, OPS, even higher BA. He was "The Man". Of the significant offensive categories Jimmy did better in two of them, hits and runs. Otherwise Utley has the better stats. Of course in the field, Jimmy was superior at a tough po...

Re: Chase Utley discussion
So much of why we Phillies fans think highly of Utley are the things that he did that don't show up in hard stats. Call it "intangibles". The do anything to get on base to get the offense going like taking or causing HBPs; the tough slide into a base to break up a DP and so forth. We saw i...

Re: Philadelphia Phillies 2021 Offseason
SS had great stats during his time in the Phillies league systems. The red flags were the downtimes that he had due to a sore shoulder. When healthy, he threw the heck out of the ball but that was when healthy. Under six foot tall fire ballers like SS usually have a short shelf life. Ironically, his...

Re: The absurdity of a lockout
Billionaire owners making huge profits while using publicly owned facilities at bargain rates and then crying over revenues is just rich. The cities should ding them for their rent payments whether they play or not. These owners are costing the cities tons of lost revenue in sales and wage taxes inc...

I’ll be surprised if Provorov is with the club after the summer. It’s obvious that Sanheim is the top defender on the club. The defense needs to be built around him on the top pair.

Re: Fletcher Watch
There is something mortally wrong in this organization. They draft players that are considered to be quality yet they get into the organization and fail to progress. By this time Provorov, Sanheim and Konecny should all be quality contributors with Farabee right behind them. Instead they have regres...

Could get real ugly tonight. I can't remember a game where the Penguins had a significantly better overall defense than the Flyers.

That Seeler-Yandle pairing is atrocious. Neither player is an NHL caliber player. Can a pair out of York, Zamula and Hogberg be worse? I doubt it.
