Re: Phillies' 2023 ST GDT #27: 03/25/23: Yankees(10-17) @ Phillies(14-13) - 1:05pm

Of note, the Yankees & Phillies have both taken multiple hits to the rotation. So when they meet in the second series of the season, it's going to be guys who weren't intended to be the fourth and fifth starters in the first two games. (And then probably Cole vs. Nola in the finale)

Re: UPDATE: Hoskins tears ACL, will miss season

Strike that. Looks like Brewers are keeping Voit and looking to dump Keston Hiura in a trade.

Re: UPDATE: Hoskins tears ACL, will miss season

Adam McCalvy @AdamMcCalvy Regarding Luke Voit's scratch from the lineup today. He's not injured. There's also no news on his opt-out just yet. We'll have to hang tight a little longer as the sides work that out. Ugh. I know he'd only cost money and no prospects, but Voit just isn't much of a helpful...

Re: The Official Unofficial 2023 Phillies Spring Training Thread

With DeGrom as the Opening Day starter, this is the lineup I'd put out there. (They won't put Castellanos this low, I'm sure.)

SS Turner
DH Schwarber
C Realmuto
1B Hall
3B Bohm
LF Cave
RF Castellanos
2B Stott
CF Marsh

Re: The Official Unofficial 2023 Phillies Spring Training Thread

The Phillies announced Aaron Nola as their Opening Day starter. He'll face Jacob deGrom in Texas.

Re: 2023 Eagles Offseason Discussion

Someone noted that they now have about $18M in cap space, but that's kind of illusional because (1) Howie usually takes about $10M into the season for flexibility, (2) they need about $6M for the draftees.

Re: UPDATE: Hoskins tears ACL, will miss season

CJ Cron is an interesting name to watch on the trade front. Last year of contract. Hits lefties well.

Re: 2023 Eagles Offseason Discussion

Yeah, looking that possibilities, Bengals are a strong fit.
Top tier of the AFC is absolutely loaded. Not sure why Jets are so keen on making a one-year run with Aaron Rodgers when there's no way they get past Chiefs, Bills, Bengals.

Re: Hoskins Hurt - KNEE

In a perfect world, Bryce Harper, Rhys Hoskins, Ranger Suarez, Edwin Diaz, Brandon Nimmo and Carlos Quintana would all be healthy for Opening Day and we'd have some great battles with all those guys in the Phightins vs. the Amazins. But that's not how baseball works. Opportunities for guys to step ...
