Second-half schedule: Pirates (7), Nationals (11), Marlins (9), Reds (7), Diamondbacks (3), Cubs (6).
Even with all this team's problems, a wild card spot is right there for the taking. Have to take care of business vs. the bad teams.

We saw what happened last year with the supposed easy schedule...
It doesn't matter who they are playing, they are not going to score enough runs with this line-up to win a lot of games

I would modify that slightly and say, "they are not going to score enough runs with the way the hitters in this lineup are performing to win a lot of games"
Some of these hitters are capable of far better. If they start performing, they can bridge the gap to the returns of Segura/Harper. Schwarber/Hoskins/Castellanos/Realmuto should be enough to take care of bad teams.

Castellanos is the one under performing.Christopher wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 6:22 pm I would modify that slightly and say, "they are not going to score enough runs with the way the hitters in this lineup are performing to win a lot of games"

Besides that
JT is what he is at this point
Hall has overachieved, but despite the HRs, ultimately will have a subpar OPS
Bohm, Schwarber, Rhys are playing at their talent level
Vierling, Stott, Odubel, Camargo, Munoz, Didi are not good.
This a last place quality line-up and will only get enough wins against bad teams if their pitching dominates

Two at-bats, two pitches seen for Herrera in this series.

Can we dump Castellanos on somebody?
