Excited for Griff, Painter and Mick to push junk like Sanchez off the roster.

Hey. Asshole. It's 10-0 and you're gonna bitch because you didn't walk on a borderline pitch?

Seriously what in the world do you see in Sanchez. He should be selling bottled water outside the stadium.

Um. Why would you not go tag out the lead runner?

I like the kid. I root for all the kids. I like his delivery, his arm action, the way the ball comes out of his hand. I like him as the 6th starter, maybe he can develop into a 5th.
He's got all of 43 IP in major league baseball. 43.
This year, he's got 26 Ks in 30 IP. He's got a 1.15 WHIP, he has a. 212 BAA, a .305 OBPA, a .379 SLGA for a .684 OPSA.
He's had some relief appearances that have skewed some of his batted ball stats, his H9 numbers, but when he's been asked to spot start because of injury, he's given them some nice starts and a chance to win games.
I don't know what some of you guys expect. Not everyone is gonna be a 1, 2 or 3 and you need home grown back of the rotation guys so you're not having to pay Gibson's the kind of money they get in FA. I'd take a Suarez or Sanchez over signing a Gibson every day of the week.
So? I root for these kids to get their chances, to get their innings in and learn what it means, learn what it takes to make it in the bigs. I don't expect them to come in and K 10 and pitch shutouts like a top 10 pick. It takes time. It certainly takes more than 43 IP.
See? Simple. I like those stories.

Junk? Why is this necessary?
These numbers do not in any way suggest he's junk, in fact, quite the opposite. AZ and SF have significantly screwed up his numbers. He's got a 2.91 ERA in CBP, in 20 IP. I didn't know his numbers before these ridiculous attacks on this young man, but they jive with what my eye and my gut told me. He's been a very effective pitcher as a starter, a bit inconsistent coming in as a reliever, especially with runners on base and pitching directly out of the stretch.
