Trying to put a positive spin
If the Phils can go 13-13 the rest of the way. Brewers have to go 18-8 to pass them
Phils will get crushed by the Braves/Jays in that 9 game stretch unless they start playing a lot better

In a weird way, I hope playing the Braves sparks something in this team.
They're playing down to opponents again.
I'm not saying they'll do great vs. the Braves, but I'd like to see this team get ramped up and focused for what are essentially playoff games vs. the defending World Champions.

-- Giants (2)
-- Reds (7)
-- Cardinals (4)
-- Yankees (3)
-- Mets (3)
-- Marlins (4)
-- Diamondbacks (3)
I don't know if I see 18-8 there, but 16-10 is certainly within reach.
If they do that and Phillies go 12-14, I think we're in a tie. (Check my math)
That's way too close for comfort.

Phils end the season with a 10 game road trip with the last 3 at Houston. Need Houston to have 1st seed locked up to have a better chance if needed
and looking at the Brewers schedule you listed, we have to root for the Mets - ugh

Nah. Just take care of business for now.
I'd personally like to see the Mets panic and struggle a bit as the Braves fly past them in the standings.
I am not opposed, however, to ruining the Braves' chances of winning the division when we play them.
Postseason is shaping up to be interesting. Cardinals and Rays two of the hottest teams in baseball.
Here's a fun thing: Orioles only 4.5 games out of the final wild card.

Orioles won't get there this year, but they are going to be a force in a year or two with all of their stud young playersChristopher wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 2:25 am Nah. Just take care of business for now.

Meaningless for the long term obviously, but...
Explaining The Phillies
@ExplainingPhils
Edmundo Sosa with the Phillies: .308/.349/.538
Juan Soto with the Padres: .235/.395/.378

Well, if we're talking small sample size, Jojo Romero has been terrific as a lefty out of the pen for St. Louis.
We could have used the bullpen arm and, I dunno, promoted Maton earlier.
