And the problem will be compounded when a semi-desperate Thomson tries to throw Dominguez into high-leverage situations immediately upon his return. We need something outside the box here. Brogdon or Alvarado in some save situations, depending on the matchups. I wish I had a better answer.

If Rhys is back next year, which is most likely, they need to have a defensive replacement for him. He has always been terrible in the field. Stone hands and awful footwork. Plus, he's not clutch hitter. He has exactly one walk-off hit in his career.BelmontShore wrote: ↑Fri Sep 09, 2022 1:55 am That's a brutal loss.
Hoskins has to get that out at 1st to give them a chance in EI. No excuse for not making that play right at him.

Thompson overused Robertson and now he is cooked
I am done with Rhys. Not enough offense to justify horrid 1B play
If Wheeler does return next week, put Falter in Gibson's spot.
Nats have been playing a lot better (against good teams), scoring runs, and Corbin has better too. This could be an ugly weekend
I have been looking at the upcoming 9 game stretch with Atlanta/Toronto for over a month as the possible end for their playoff hopes and I think it happens. I pray I am wrong, but I see 4-11 at best over the next 15.

We have no great options. Just rolling the dice on potentially incrementally better ones.Michael Jack wrote: ↑Fri Sep 09, 2022 4:10 am Have you seen Brogdan pitch lately? Not a closer Very inconsistent
