This thought is an absolute revelation considering where we were in May with him.Christopher wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 2:33 amIt's nice having one more year of team control on Alvarado, before having to decide whether to really pay himBelmontShore wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 2:30 am One of the most remarkable things about this season is the turn around for Alvarado. Dude went from unpitchable to being a lockdown reliever. He could not throw strikes consistently.
I didn't see a 1-0 victory coming today but ok.

Just the millionth piece of evidence that you can't predict what a reliever will do in a single season, so you're better off not spending big bucks on them. Develop them or take flyers on cheap guys/potential bounce-back guys. (But not older guys who you're paying for what they did six years ago)BelmontShore wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 12:05 pmThis thought is an absolute revelation considering where we were in May with him.Christopher wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 2:33 amIt's nice having one more year of team control on Alvarado, before having to decide whether to really pay himBelmontShore wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 2:30 am One of the most remarkable things about this season is the turn around for Alvarado.
