I agree with Chris - I would start Thor

Short leash with Falter in reserve

If it turns ugly - use Gibson and save the bullpen for Sunday

I'm an optimist that we won't have to "Gibson" tomorrow, but if that does happen, for Game 5 you'd have something like

Wheeler, 60-70 pitches
Suarez
Dominguez + Alvarado available for 25-30 pitches apiece
Eflin

Might not be enough, but it's not nothing.

The x factor is the unknown of how effective Wheeler would be on 3 days rest, but you have to give it a shot

Hopefully they can score 10+ tomorrow and we don't have to worry about it

Morton's pitched like 100 postseason games the past five years or so, and he won't get rattled. He's come up huge before.
But he's also starting to show his age. Phillies saw him a LOT this year, scoring 17 runs off him in 5 starts. They know his stuff.

Key guy for the Braves tomorrow is probably McHugh, who can go multiple innings.

If Braves force Game 5, they can give most of the game of a Fried/Wright combo. Wright only threw 83 pitches Wednesday.

That's why Phillies should play tomorrow like Game 7 if it's within reach of W

Please, please, please win tomorrow. I DO NOT want this to go back to Atlanta. Not saying they can't win game 5, because they can. But I'm not sure I can take the stress of it.

GO PHILLIES!!!!!!!!

Sarah Langs

Charlie Morton has made 4 career postseason starts with his team facing elimination. His team has won all 4. Just 2 pitchers in postseason history have started more team wins facing elimination: Curt Schilling & John Smoltz, with 5 each

and if it goes 5 and the other series goes 4, will be on the same time as the Eagles/Cowboys game

That is way too much stress at one time
