Charlie Morton has made 4 career postseason starts with his team facing elimination. His team has won all 4. Just 2 pitchers in postseason history have started more team wins facing elimination: Curt Schilling & John Smoltz, with 5 each
Schilling's game 5 performance vs Toronto in 93 was awesome

and if it goes 5 and the other series goes 4, will be on the same time as the Eagles/Cowboys game

That is way too much stress at one time

That's insane. That can't happen.

GO PHILLIES!!!!!!!!

This is true. Only thing is, at least for me, I don't feel the Eagles game is a must win, whereas a Phillies game 5 obviously is. So if it ends up they are on at the same time, Phillies game would get majority of my watch time.

If Nola can be Nola tonight and beat Strider, then I think we can knock Morton around on Saturday and win the series. My optimistic operative assumption -- which could be wholly wrong -- is that we can beat Morton.
Lot of folks are agreeing that Snitker made a mistake with Strider today. His fastball was 100 in the first inning and the fastball that Hoskins launched in the third inning was 93 mph

Morton wasn't told until Friday morning that he was no longer starting until Saturday.
I suspect starting pitchers prefer a little more courtesy than that, given gameday routines.

The good: South Philly Bomb Squad has returned...

Nola...

Everyone else...

The fans!

The bad: the first two innings...

End it tomorrow!
