Jeff Passan @JeffPassan
Qualifying offer results:
Rejected: Aaron Judge, Trea Turner, Xander Bogaerts, Jacob deGrom, Dansby Swanson, Carlos Rodón, Brandon Nimmo, Willson Contreras, Chris Bassitt, Anthony Rizzo, Nathan Eovaldi
Accepted: Joc Pederson, Martín Perez
Signed elsewhere: Tyler Anderson
================
Tyler Anderson gets a 3/39 deal from the Angels, turning down the Dodgers' $19.5 million qualifying offer. So he doubled he guaranteed money, but with a lower AAV. Probably a smart deal.
I think this also greatly changes the complexion of what the Dodgers do in free agency. They need rotation help.

In a blast from the past, the Brewers put 31-year-old Jon Singleton onto their 40-man roster today and he'll likely have a shot to make Opening Day roster. Had 100+ walks, 100+ strikeouts and .809 OPS at Triple-A last year

Obligatory NL Manager of the Year LOLs comment.
Postseason wins
Showalter: 1
Thomson: 11
Better yet:
In 21 years as a manager, Showalter has 10 postseason wins.
In a half-season as a manager, Thomson has 11 postseason wins.

Jon Morosi
@jonmorosi
While I'm told the #Dodgers have not made a final decision on Cody Bellinger's future, the chances are better than 50/50 that he will be removed from the roster via trade or non-tender by 8 pm ET today.
For the record, despite my post yesterday, I'm not too enthusiastic about what Bellinger would bring to the Phillies, beyond positional flexibility

Dodgers considering Aaron Judge, Padres targeting Jose Abreu (and they're getting Tatis back), Braves bolstering their bullpen and eyeing outfielders ....
... the price of winning a pennant is that you have to keep up with the league's best if you want to repeat that pennant.
Let's go, Midds.

Giants wooing Judge not just by saying they'll be the highest bidder, but by saying they'll also add 2 other high-price free agents.
Wonder how Rodon fits into that.

1B Jose Abreu to the Astros, filling their current biggest hole.
Even if they lose Verlander, 1B was probably their biggest need.

Pirates talking with Kyle Gibson, who threw 2.1 shutout innings in the postseason for the Phillies.

Dodgers thinking about moving Betts to 2B (to replace Turner) and chasing Aaron Judge.
They've also been talking with Verlander & Rodon.
I don't think they're taking their loss to the Padres well.
Phillies could easily end up:
-- Being better than last year
-- maybe even being the 2nd or 3rd best team in the NL
-- and get steamrolled by the Dodgers in October, who they didn't have to worry about this year

That said, a number of indicators are now pointing heavily toward the Giants for Judge. Dodgers may just be messing with the Giants and pushing their tab higher.
This is all the more reason for the Phillies to lock up Turner ... before the Yankees lose Judge and start getting wild spending ideas.
