The Phillies as constructed just aren’t good. My gut is that they will be functionally eliminated by the time Bryce is back.

Gotta keep an eye on Milwaukee & St. Louis. If they're both 90-win teams, the path to the playoffs becomes extremely narrow. Basically Phillies or Mets for last spot.

Very true. Need 6-7 inning starts from Nola, Wheeler, Walker.
The sad reality though is that baseball is shifting toward 6-inning starters, at best, until it's crunch time.
Bullpen looks a lot more reasonable if you only have to get 6-9 outs from it, but alas.
