Obviously don't regret Gibson or VV. Happy for them though.

I thought 3/40 was a bit rich for Eflin. But I also thought the Phillies would bring in two starting pitchers (one being a guy who give them depth and compete for the #5 job) this winter.

In retrospect, while Eflin is an eternal injury concern, might have been nice to keep him.

I guess, in essence, we replaced him with Strahm, so maybe things will be OK when Suarez returns.

But, again, none of this matters if Nola/Wheeler don't pitch like a 1/2. Everything else is just deck chairs if they flounder.

I'd give Thor honorable mention. Numbers aren't pretty, but 3/4 of his starts have been quality (6.0 IP/ 3 ER or fewer). pretty good.

Yeah, but I thought the Dodgers overpaid a bit at 1/13.

Don't really understand the Dodgers. I know they're stocked and their championships window is wide rather than narrow. But they haven't really approached these past few years with any urgency to acquire the pieces that would put them over the top. Letting both Seager & Turner walk was dumb.

I guess folks are looking at the context as, "Preparing to give $500M+ to Ohtani in 2024" but maybe they've bought into their own October frustration and no longer care about 100+ regular seasons -- just qualifying for the playoffs.
