I have concerns the 76ers woke a monster in Game 1.

These 76ers.have no answers for that level of athleticism and effort.

Maxey is garbage in the playoffs.

Maxey is being guarded by a 6-8, athletic SF because Daryl Morey refuses to build this team the right way around Embiid.

Maxey is not garbage in the playoffs. He's a 6-1 combo guard and the lone athletic "wing" who plays any meaningful minutes.

You continue to attack the wrong target.

Because this team doesn't have a SG, SF or PF that requires an athletic player like Tatum to guard him, the Celtics' coach can afford to put Tatum on Maxey and run help at him when he turns the corner. The Celtics don't need to guard Harris or Tucker with Tatum. They can play White or Brown on either. They can constantly switch White, Brown, Smart and Tatum on all screens with both Maxey and Harden.

This is a 76ers' GM/roster issue.

No team should be relying on a 22yo to carry them in the playoffs. He won't be 23 until November.

I repeat. This is a roster construction issue.

i thought that was a pretty disturbing effort. to get blown out like that, w guys lacking aggression, etc. its not like they haven't played with Embiid before. team lacked urgency, maybe thought cool, MVP is back, we can stop trying or something. i get they split and that's good but that third quarter. yikes.

Wasn't that they lost. It was how they lost. Thats what is very concerning.
