THE VAUNTED SHORTSTOPS

Bogaerts .787 OPS (1.4 WAR)
Swanson .785 OPS (1.9 WAR)
Turner .717 OPS (1.0 WAR)
Correa .686 OPS (0.2 WAR)

Twins are the only team that signed a big SS and is over .500

Well hopefully we don't have to wait until 2024 for Turner to simply achieve an .850 OPS

This is true.

I just don't get the "He's a bum. Why did we sign him?" After 6 weeks of ball in a 162 game season. I just take it as the ebb and flow of the season. You'll have good games and bad. Good and bad streaks.

I don't think it's too soon for these kinds of calculations. With the parity in the NL this year, I think it will only take about 87 wins again for the third wild card.

To get to 87, the Phillies have to go 67-54 the rest of the way (.554). And they've already played a lot of games against the "softies" on the schedule.

Turner must be a factor in a good share of wins the rest of the way.

Obviously,Cap..Just commenting on his performance thus far with the expectation based on past performance and over- the- top contract
Striking out way too much vis a vis OPS,RISP,and not great defensively
I understand ebbs and flows. One quarter of the season gone, all ebb thus far

Yeah I get it. I just don't get too fired up about it though.

Now, year three rolls around and this cat is hitting .240 in July? Thats a problem.
