Bogaerts .787 OPS (1.4 WAR)

Turner .717 OPS (1.0 WAR)
Correa .686 OPS (0.2 WAR)

Well hopefully we don't have to wait until 2024 for Turner to simply achieve an .850 OPS

This is true.Christopher wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2023 4:02 pm Well hopefully we don't have to wait until 2024 for Turner to simply achieve an .850 OPS
I just don't get the "He's a bum. Why did we sign him?" After 6 weeks of ball in a 162 game season. I just take it as the ebb and flow of the season. You'll have good games and bad. Good and bad streaks.

I don't think it's too soon for these kinds of calculations. With the parity in the NL this year, I think it will only take about 87 wins again for the third wild card.
To get to 87, the Phillies have to go 67-54 the rest of the way (.554). And they've already played a lot of games against the "softies" on the schedule.
Turner must be a factor in a good share of wins the rest of the way.

Obviously,Cap..Just commenting on his performance thus far with the expectation based on past performance and over- the- top contractCaptain Obvious wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2023 5:22 pmThis is true.Christopher wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2023 4:02 pm Well hopefully we don't have to wait until 2024 for Turner to simply achieve an .850 OPS

Striking out way too much vis a vis OPS,RISP,and not great defensively
I understand ebbs and flows. One quarter of the season gone, all ebb thus far
