Why can't we rise to the occasion like this against teams that don't have the most talented roster in the National League?

The other thing about Clemens hitting is that we need Bohm back at 3B full-time.
I'm pretty sure Bohm can't hit enough to be an MLB first baseman.
But if he can play above-average defense at 3B and get an occasional big hit (think Pedro Feliz or Charlie Hayes), I'm comfortable having him in the lineup. He needs to get back into the 3B rhythm so he doesn't backslide there.

Any chance they could dump him at the deadline and eat some salary?

I think the offseason is the time to try to trade Schwarber (eating a ton of money), and it depends what else they're doing in the offseason.

The biggest piece will be replacing Nola.

Trading Schwarber probably requires keeping Hoskins, so there's some decisions they're going to have to make.

It's probably time to give Cave another whirl, given how hot his bat is at Triple-A. Find out about him before Pache gets healthy
