and I know - if Marsh is in the game, it is probably an out, but a walk, wild pitch and not striking out a guy batting 100 doesn't help

Problem begins with a horrid offense and a garbage bench
Trying to win games scoring 0-2 runs/night is not going to end well more often than not

Rather see them sell then buy to be honest, but they won't
They have some bad teams upcoming on their schedule which may keep them afloat, but they just have too many issues with this line-up.
Keeping Harrison on the roster all season, let alone batting him 6th tonight, is disgraceful

There really isn’t much out there that will help this team will all of the holes in this roster. Combine that with a manager who refuses to even shake up the lineup, I see little reason they should be buyers at the deadline.
Regardless, I see them overspending for some rental in a desperate attempt to salvage the season

Rob Thomson is a terrible manager who just happened to be there when the team got hot.
0 argument for sitting Rojas or Marsh to DH Harper and play Jake Cave.
He stinks.

I thought maybe that they could steal one when they tied it, but nope
Back to getting swept. Tomorrow night they will get shut out

Topper is a good manager. He's just sticking with what worked last year. At some point though, if things don't turn around, he has to realize that this is a different year. Also, what he said the other night about the top 5 guys in the lineup is true. If those guys don't turn it around the Phils are sunk. The order doesn't matter. The Phils are paying them a lot of money and I don't doubt the effort, but the only one playing like the back of their baseball cards would suggest has been Castellanos and since the All-Star break he looks more like last year than what he did before the break.
