Yet as we've said with so many Phillies losses, the Giants tried to skate by with the bare minimum to win, and it bit them.

Need the sweep tomorrow. I'm not sure what Phillies' day-game-after-night-game record is this season, but it seems like it's pretty meh. Time to turn that around and keep the mo'

There was a lot of postgame chatter last night about why Doval didn't use his best "out" pitch -- his slider.
Seems there might be some tension between the coaching staff and the pitchers, in terms of what they're being asked.
But a W is a W, even if comes courtesy of a hit-by-pitch, a mystifying intentional walk & a double-deflection game-winning single

We chatted to Camilo Doval pregame and he says he doesn’t know why he steered away from his slider last night. He shook off repeatedly away from it and the team wants him mixing his pitches better. He says he is not hurt. So it’s a little bit confusing.
