In a bit of sad news - Mets are eliminated from the playoffs

On the positive they did crush the Phils in the regular season last year, so they will always have that......

Some Braves fans freaked out that the minor injuries to Fried (yesterday) and Morton (tonight) means those 2 starters won't have pitched in 2+ weeks entering the NLCS on Oct. 7. They're scared of us (assuming we advance). They think it's over if they split the first two games of the NLDS in Atlanta.

Of course, being in the fans' heads doesn't matter.
The question is whether the Phillies can get into the Braves' heads -- and their bullpen

Meanwhile, the Dodgers are essentially building a plan to "bullpen game" most of the playoffs.

Orioles lose third straight by giving up 2 in bottom of night, allowing Rays to stay within 1.5 games

Houston loses to Kansas City (!) and Texas sneaks into first. Astros are a half-game from missing playoffs entirely.

Diamondbacks, Cubs, Marlins, Reds continue to jockey for two spots. None playing particularly well. (Nor would any of those teams be intimidated to face us.)

If the Phillies make the playoffs and played the Dbacks, having to face Gallen/Kelly would be tough

Orioles having the tiebreaker is big. Not winning the division could mean Houston in the ALWS for either them or the Rays

Pirates, who the Phils play next, really playing spoiler the past 3 nights

Padres trying to make a miracle run to get back in it

Seems like every team in the playoffs will have some big concerns

I think folks are sleeping on the Brewers. They'll be able to set up with a strong top two and they have arguably the best bullpen in the National League.

I can absolutely see them in the NLCS.

Hitting will be the question. They need to get enough from Contreras, Yelich, Adames, Canha. There's a lot of softness in that lineup.

If they win the WC round, I definitely think that they beat LA

They have not been to a WS since 82 - that was a great offense.
