Blowing game 4 was the turning point of the series.
Wheeler gave them a reprieve in game 5, but the team never recovered and pressed all the way through trying to play hero ball.

Thomson was horribly out managed at practically every turn and his loyalty to Kimbrel and overreliance on the bullpen were his undoing. Not adjusting the lineup was also bad too, but no one really hit after game 2, so who knows at this point.

Idiots on Twitter was whining about Rojas when Schwarber, Harper, Turner, Realmuto and Castellanos were 3-36.

It’s not on him. We know where his bat is.

It’s about the pricey veterans completely wilting.

Yep, big price tag players all crumbled under pressure.

Harper, Turner, Castellanos 0-23 in the 2 home games

It’s 6:05am. Fuck knows when I’ll go to sleep.

Legit the worst loss I’ve seen in 21 years of following the Phillies.

The stupid thing about all this is if the bullpen is as lockdown in Game 3 and 4 as theirs was in 6 and 7 the Phillies sweep the series. That’s how wretched this all is. Game 3 was a shit happens type of loss. Game 4 was one you just can’t have.

But after going 3-2 up there was no doubt in my mind that the Phillies would win. The collapse of the offense was just staggering.

Going 2-1 up tonight and not being able to enjoy it for any length of time sucked. Not pitching a single 1-2-3 inning sucked. Not getting a hit after a lead off double in the 5th sucked. Having two shots to win the pennant and coming up with 3 whole runs sucked.

That one will hurt for a long time. Hurts more than last year.

Nah...
1-0 in 2011 game 5

Game 6 2010 NLCS
Game 6 WS 2009.

Those teams were built for the run and were supposed to win them all. This team, still built for October, had flaws and they got exposed.
