Think about how the Eagles' defenders, the LBs & DBs are never in a position to make a hard hit. Only if DL comes free and hits a RB in the hole is there a hard hit.

When does a LB or DB arrive when the ball does to either break up a pass or take the receiver down as soon as he makes the catch.

The Eagles are always too far away and wind up letting the ball carrier pick up speed, the defender is flatfooted and is at the mercy of the receiver. The receiver always has time to secure the ball and turn of field with speed to try and make him miss.

The scheme makes the defenders passive. It has them too far away to make a play on the ball. I'm watching game after game with defenders able to break on the ball.

And for even more examples of "stupid fucking coaching" - on that last pass to Gainwell before the field goal, they made DeVonta Smith the lead blocker on the play, and he got injured so bad he was on crutches and in a walking boot after the game. Great call Sirianni or Johnson (or both, morons).
