it doesn't matter who the back up is. there will always be a certain sector that calls for the backup. happened with Minshew. Happened with Mariota towards the end of last year. it will happen. would it be more likely with a Fields? probably but it would happen even if the backup was Tanner McKee.

Please say no to Fields. I think David Murphy state the risk/reward very well in his column. It ain't worth it.

I agree, besides Fields and Hurts are similar. I read that Fields has a better arm than Hurts. I've never been fond of running QBs. I'm not opposed to a QB that can run, but I would rather have a QB that can read a defense and throw quick accurate passes.

Looks like Josh Sweat agreed to a contract restructure. Looks like Eagles are going with Sweat and Huff as their
pass rushing ends. This leave Reddick likely to be gone.

guessing thats the best Howie could do but a pick 2 years from now for probably your best defensive player at a position of need aint great.
