It's actually a must.

That's standing up for your player and getting Rojas a base hit, making him 1 for 3 on the day,. rather than an Ofer. You want to keep him feeling good and having some success to continue his progression as a hitter. You can't tell him it doesn't matter.

He's now hitting .267 on the season.

This isn't even remotely fair, bigsy.

Come on, now. The kid has been lights out since 2nd half last season. He finished August and September as one of the better starters in all of MLB. He has started this season very well, Bohm was given an error and Sanchez's line reduced to just 1ER. His ERA is 2.67 to start the season. His 1-3 W/L is no different than Wheeler's 1-4. Undeserved.

Frankly, he's earned his starting role, as a Phillie.

He may yet go to the pen, but it should not be because of how he has pitched, but because of his versatility and also his youth.

1. Turnbull isn't staying in the rotation

2. Even if Turnbull WERE staying in the rotation, he's going to be capped around 90 innings this season, given how little he's thrown the past couple of years. So he would just be Strahm 2.0 (for 2024), starting for about 40% of the season and then going to the pen.

3. Sanchez is going to be fine. He's the 4/5.
