Danny Green hitting a key 3 is why you don't just let a tested vet like him go for nothing, although he did foul Ziaire on that last shot...

Sixers always play better against good teams. Always.

Andre is a beast, especially when he has to be.

Poor Bassey got housed.

Doc has this team half game out of first, with Embiid carrying the team on his back, AND A beating a legit western conference contender without him? He has his bone headed moments, but he's a good coach with a great staff.

Explain then the success of this team down a 33 million dollar player with obvious potential to be a HUGE distraction to a lesser team leader. Explain how you beat a team like Memphis without your star player.

You take certain situations and make them the focal point without looking at the totality. Take a lesser coach in a major market with this roster and a Simmons distraction and how do they fare? Doc has flaws but he's done a good job this season all things considered.

I'm not saying that Rivers is without flaws, certainly not, but he's getting a ton of undue hate for a couple of mistakes. Does his team lack hustle at times, sure. Are his rotations questionable at times, yup. Did he say 1 comment (the Pop comment) that will get repeated ad nauseam on WIP, absolutely. But you don't get to the position this team is in without good coaching. Remember that while Doc is the head coach, the Sixers coaching staff is stacked with talent (Burke, Cassell, Joerger (when he's back)). Those guys don't come here as assistant coaches unless you have a strong head coach at the top to work under.

Doc isn't Pop, but Doc is as good of a coach for this team as anyone who could conceivably be in this position right now.

Couple of lesser observations:
1. Danny Green fouled the crap out of the 3 pt shooter. Got away with it but it was not smart of him [imagine that].
2. That was a bullshit call against Drummond for "jumping from point A to point B". WTF? We don't seem to get any respect from the refs (pt 1 excluded) even on home court. Doc Rivers doesn't bring anything on that account.

Glenn Rivers is unquestionably the the most over-rated coach in perhaps all sports. He DOES NOT know how to coach with a lead, series or games. He is slow to adjust, his rotations are insane and he does not value the youth he has. Now does he does some good stuff....absolutely. I think he deserve a lot of credit for Joel. But his negatives are really bad.

He holds onto his coaches challenge like no other
Not getting more playing time for Bassey, Paul and Joe is ridiculous
His arrogance is like no other and his comments post series about Simmons might have destroyed this teams chances at a title....I HATE Ben Simmons, but the Sixers are a legit title contender if he is on this team right now.
He treats us fans and the media like we are stupid, and his comments dont age well at all
