Ben began with seeing help for his anxiety in July, before it was mentioned publicly. That's 6-7 months of therapy.

Him not wanting to play for the 76ers had nothing to do with his mental health issues. They are 2 separate things. He didn't want to play with the trade hanging over his head, the anxiety was overwhelming. There is every reason to believe he's been given tools to better handle his issues. He could be ready to try playing again for a new team.

I'm expecting a Ben Simmons with a chip on his shoulder to terrorize the NBA with a Durant & Irving.
