Phils waste another leadoff baserunner.

Bohm will be back in AAA in MayChristopher wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 11:08 pmAgree. This can't be a Bohm-Stott-Carmargo three-way. Get Carmargo out of the loop and you can play Bohm & Stott both 60% of the time.
So will Vierling

Just let the pitcher bat 9th - would be an upgrade

Vierling has been a disappointment, at the plate, now in the field. He got scared of the wall.
But this is what happens when you blow opportunities with RISP, less than 2 out. You have to have a better at bat with 1 out, runner on 3rd.
I've been disappointed in the bad approaches and swings we've seen since they "came North". The patience, the level swings, the strike zone recognition we saw hasn't shown itself so far.

I'm also not understanding the Carmargo hate.
In 5 games, he's 5-10 and played good defense. 28 is the same age the Phillies got Jayson Werth when he finally got his act together.
27-28 is when major leaguers enter their prime. Right now, Camargo is by far their best 3B option until he shows otherwise.

Marlins with a 2-out knock that produces 2 runs.
Hanging curve on the outside corner and he didn't over swing, he didn't roll over to pull it or upper cit it and pop it up, he took a bit off and just served it into LF. Good, smart approach, perfect execution.
