If you want to argue they should have thrown big bucks at one of the SS I'd agree but they needed big bats and got them so.

Hopefully Long can get Vierling to turn some of those 110 MPH worm killers into line drives.

You would hope that 8 runs is enough, but IMO, it is important for the Phils to put up several more runs. The offense still only has 6 hits today and most of the guys could use a good day at the plate to turn things around
