They may need to blow it up in July at the deadline and pray Harper believes in the rebuild.
Wheeler gets you an absolute haul. Trade Segura and Hoskins.
Hope the top starting pitchers in the minors can be ready to debut sometime in 2024.

Seriously. What in the fuck are you idiots swinging at? They don't have to throw strikes to get you out.

Too easy to predict....these fuckers dont even have a hit since the 4th inning. So another 4-1 lead gone and the team does not score after getting that lead...hell they did not even get a hit. If this does not say fire the manager, I dont know what does.

JT swings at strike 3 to end the game that is way up and inside....these dude watch pitches down the middle and then swing at shit.

This was a fucking bullpen game for the Dodgers and their bullpen whooped our ass.

But to be fair, how many line drives does this team hit that are outs....Bohm continues to strike the ball so well, but he gets robbed or a victim to smart alignments

Pathetic loss

The Flyers really need to be paying attention to this Phillies' team. When your core is that devoid of talent, you can't throw a blank check at it and expect to compete.

What??? I always respect what you say, but this is crazy. They just signed a bunch guys to huge contracts....there will be no selling here. They are missing a CFer and a manager that can put a competent lineup together. It is horrible luck that Hand and Familia become the latest in a long line of failed veteran relievers to join this team....it is like a curse.

Wouldn't really call it luck on Hand or Familia, that's what happens when you go for bums with red flags and have been regressing over spending a few million and an extra year more on someone good.

At the trade deadline, they'll probably be within a 4-to-6 games of the third wild-card.
Third wild card plays at best-of-3, with all three games at the field of the "worst" division winner.

Maybe the baseball will change back in the summer and we'll play .550 ball by out-slugging other teams. I dunno.

What I don't want to do is be a buyer in July. No prospects can out of the door at this point in an effort for a fundamentally flawed team to be the last team in.

So we'll see if the high-paid team they brung to the dance can turn it around, I guess. It's going to be like water torture, watching the team hover around .500

EDIT: And while I want Girardi gone, no manager -- especially not the kind they'd bring in as a band-aid -- can fix what's flawed about this team. Best you can hope for is the clubhouse leaders rallying around the embarrassment of getting their manager fired and playing with a chip on their shoulder.

Phils are still reeling from the Amaro JR and Klentak years when they basically brought nothing to the table. Terrible scouting and development. Dombrowski has shaken things up and it might pay off down the road, but I wonder what is possible to help this year's team. I can't remember the last time we heard from Dombrowski or even Fuld. They have to be looking for help, don't they?

Actually, that’s exactly what it means. Because OBP is the only thing that matters in the leadoff spot.
