I honestly think he allows his frustrations to get the best of him. He had been hitting the ball on a rope recently, but at fielders and it has caused some chasing and rolling over on the ball....we saw the same thing in April and May last year. Remember, Alec hit over .300 for June, July and half of Aug...once he was benched for Torreyes he went into a big tailspin.FolesMVP09 wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 8:45 pmor maybe he is just not that good as many have feared.

Hopefully Moniak won't join that group

But you bring up a great point, this years kids are doing next to nothing on offense, and it has hurt the club.

Players have hot streaks, but ultimately they regress to their norm. He is a marginal player - but they have no other option at 3B, so it is what it is

All of us have a bias to home grown players and at times over rate their chances
Phils have a bad minor league system due to years of bad drafting, development, and lack of success with foreign players. Hopefully Painter & Abel develop into top of the rotation starters
They can keep spending, but other than a 1993 type one off season, there remains little hope until they improve the pipeline

Was that Manco & Manco square pizza or is there another spot?

Big difference between Moniak and Bohm. Moniak was a baby and no one truly thought he was a typical #1 pick. Bohm was a sure fire pick that everyone thought he would be an impact bat at the major league levelFolesMVP09 wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 8:54 pmAll of us have a bias to home grown players and at times over rate their chances
