[Sixers will now bring in another undrafted player in 2024. They will sign Kentucky forward Justin Edwards to a two-way deal. He averaged 8.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and shot 36.5% from deep as a freshman in the 2023-24 season.]
Edwards is a slinky, athletic 6-8, 205lb lefty SF.
This kid could be a Ricky Council type UDFA steal.

I hope the post 2023 and total 2024 draft approach by Daryl Morey represents a permanent change in how he does his business.
Drafting and developing their own young talent is a proven way of developing your roster with cost certainty and effective cap management.
You can not continually solve your personnel issues with a checkbook. The Flyers never learned that while Bob Clarke's influence was controlling the Flyers. Morey never using his picks caused problems in Houston and now Philadelphia.
Using his picks, then carefully selecting UDFAs has to be the way forward. It's the way to develop the roster, but then you also get assets that can be used to take advantage of trade opportunities.

Once again, excited for Summer League.
With these three 2024 drafted players along with Council and Smith as well.as other select UDFAs, this will be another fun summer of basketball leading into the Olympics.
