I really don't understand why multiple teams have been fascinated with the idea of him atop the lineup in recent years. He's a seven-hole hitter most of the time and maybe a #5 guy when he's on a good streak
This team needs a partial overhaul like they did in and after 06 with Lieberthal, Abreu, Bell, etc

Move on from Hoskins, Segura, Nola to start

Yep - but like last year, was really too predictable.

I'm not moving on from the final year of Segura's contract unless Bogaerts or Turner is coming to the clubhouse. They need the middle infield to remain above-average, because LF and/or CF will be below average

Something is wrong with the DNA of this team, Don't know who is to blame, but the same cast of characters fall apart every year - need to move out some vets.

I would also try to trade Schwarber

Hoskins & Schwarber would get my vote, but there has to be at least one superstar-level bat brought in when that's done. Probably free agency.

A minor problem is that Schwarber is, by accounts, a far better clubhouse guy than Castellanos, but Castellanos is far more untradeable right now. None of the offseason moves will matter is Castellanos doesn't bounce back in 2023 and help to keep them from wasting another year of Harper/Realmuto

From a practical standpoint, you can't go into 2023 with Schwarber/Castellanos as DH's in a world where you need to put Harper there on occasion. Plus Hoskins' defense at 1B

Based on their histories, i just think Nick has more upside. I am done with Schwarber.

One way to simultaneously help the Phillies and hurt an opponent would be signing Brandon Nimmo. Gotta overpay, but who cares?

I generally agree, but worry that a flip switched and Castellanos just got old fast.

They can and they will.
