Signing Nola to that contract is one of the biggest mistakes the Phillies have made.

Nola is the definition of a mental midget and that money could have been put to fixing the outfield.

If Kevin Long is responsible for changing his contact hit the outside pitch to left field approach,he should be fired

Marte ensured this game ends in a blowout. 7 ER given up, lol. He should be DFA before the game ends. Another hard throwing bum.

Phillies tailspin continues with no real end in sight. For a team with all this supposed talent, they are easy to shut down at the plate. Not a single hitter after Bohm in the lineup is hitting over .250 on the season (even if you switch JT for Stubbs, this is still true). The bullpen has reverted to its poor pitching from early in the season. The starting pitching can only do so much, but with Suarez out .

Dombrowski did too little to improve this team in the offseason and at the trade deadline. It's becoming more and more likely that this team will suffer an early playoff exit.

I took heat here for calling out Kevin Long before. This is his teaching style. He has had talent up the wazoo wherever he has coached.

Even if Long is fired, these hitters are too stubborn to listen to anyone. Supposedly, the emphasis this offseason was cutting down on chasing pitches out of the zone. Only hitter that i think might have listened is Schwarber and maybe Bohm. The rest just go up there and hack away.

He has turned Stott into Kingery in one year.
