Because his alignments are designed to keep the ball in front of them, they're just a little to far away to make a play when the ball arrives.

All he cares about is avoiding the big play - so if teams stay patient and have a decent QB they can just pick them apart

3rd and 8, Gannon calls a soft zone with safety help over the top and he's got Slay 12 yds off the LOS. It's pitch and catch on a slant for a 1st.

They get lucky on a DoG to force a FG but that's the kind of shitty decision he's gotta get away from and dictate to the offense instead of just taking it and hoping for a mistake.

He put the ball in Brown's hands. He had it and the defender made an amazing play to take it away.

It was a good, aggressive decision. Sometimes, you have to just tip your hat.

Jonathan Gannon sucks.

But the DLine needs to get re-made this offseason. It’s just not very good. Cox and Graham have been great Eagles but it’s time.
