Phillies optioned RHP Hans Crouse and C Rafael Marchán to minor league camp. They also reassigned LHP Kyle Dohy and OF Johan Rojas to minor league camp.

If Haseley and Moniak weren't 1st round picks, both would be gone instead of Williams. The DFA really should be Odumbell.

They really should just DFA Moniak. Girardi said he's not playing him in CF even with the CF situation being what it is. Just get him out of here at that point, would rather have Williams around.

Agreed - that was my first thought - why keep Moniak over him

Hate the Ghost Runner, but I understand if it's just for this year because of all the double-headers.

Girardi says that MRI showed Herrera has a mild strain. Will probably miss Opening Day. Could miss 4-6 weeks total.
