Like my point is Stott might be good, but the Phillies can’t play guys who will throw the ball around Harper Schwarber Realmuto Nicky and Hoskins. Hoskins is already atrocious at first, and there were questions in the minors whether Stott could actually stick at short.
Like if he is going to be a negative defender, then Carmargo should probably steal time at third.

The whole point was the team was never going to win a ton of 3-2 games with what they had but they can win their fair share of 7-5 games so whatever.

On another day versus another defense, Vierling could have 3 hits today....very good at bats, that is why baseball can be a fickle sport.
