Stop making deals just to make a deal. Especially with aging, expensive vets and one year rentals. Give Pache a few starts in LF to see how he handles it. Hold on to your assets for when you really need them.

Especially on the potential outfielder, there are plenty of guys available, so I wouldn't overpay for a "name" rental
Hernandez doesn't walk enough to intrigue me as a difference-maker. Just find someone like Tommy Pham (doesn't have to BE Tommy Pham) to round out the depth, of which we have none, unless you're super-high on Pache/Cave. Think of the approach the Braves had a few years ago when traded beans for outfielders who had an impact

Andrew Painter’s tests results are back. “Better news than what we expected.” Rob Thomson said. Tests show right elbow is healing. They’re going to let Painter rest until discomfort is gone, then resume throwing program. Could happen relatively soon.

I agree. Three weeks until the deadline. Let's see what Pache can do.

If they can avoid the surgery, then pitching a little bit in the majors in 2024 can still be in play

Funny how those deadline priorities keep shifting.
Maybe it's now
1. reliever(s)
2. #5 starter
3. RH outfielder
Though, again, all eyes are on Bryce.

Good time, at least, to find out if Bellatti can contribute this season. He can be a positive addition, with Dominguez's situation.
