Hard to play the 49ers without one starting level linebacker.

Has nothing to do with the LBing, it's the scheme. It's Desai and Sirianni because, by design, they wanna drop and keep the play in front of them waiting for a negative play. The LBs drop into zones, they and the CBs drop at the snap.ans make themselves susceptible to 3 step drop offense.
