Harris isn’t good against any team with athletic wings. The real problem is having Maxey cede on offense to Curry, Harris or anyone else. The only person that can break down the zone is Maxey, but he is made a 3rd or 4th option when the starters are in.
He was owning them in the 1st half, so your not correct. I dont think Toby had a shot in the 2nd half....he finished 6-8 on FGs....this loss is on Rivers being a complete idiot.

Once the Mavs go zone Harris is useless. Harris not being involved isn’t why they lost.

It’s because they still can’t solve zone on offense after 3 years and Green/Curry were abused on defense.

Toby has his faults, but I firmly believe after Covid and that injury, he was not healthy....He has been very good since January. He is very frustrating on rebounds, but he can get his own shot and to completely ignore him for an entire half of basketball is just fucking ridiculous. He is shooting almost 44% from 3s since 1 January. To not have play designed to free him up is just stupid.

The Sixers scored 35 points in the second half....WOW, and usually the 2nd half is where they are better. Danny Green 0-5 from 3 and blows on defense....but Rivers kept him in the game.

Isiah Joe had a terrible game as well....I have high hopes for the kid, but with these injuries, he has to play better

Not sure I agree on the Harris point, but the other part....100%, and that is on Rivers. It is one of the reasons his teams play very poorly with a lead.

He has been horrible against zone for like 3 years now.

Forget being more involved, he should be riding the bench against zone.

You can’t have a non center out there who refuses to shoot 3s and can’t get by anyone against a 2-3 zone.

Anyways this game isn’t about Harris. Just a bad job by Glenn again, and Danny Green looking way past shot.

Harris is useless vs zones because he's not a sound ballhandler in traffic, he's hamfisted when he has to do too much.

We know Doc tells him he has to go quick, make a decision and go. But zones make him slow down. He's a terrible passer and that's a huge part of being the seam breaker on the wing. You have to put your head down and get in the seam on a 45° angle and if there's no path to the rim, you gotta kick to a shooter, find the slasher off the opposite wing or throw a lob to the backdoor if the dunker is there.

Harris freezes when he gets the ball and when he gets in the lane in traffic, he loses the ball or passively passes it back outside and there's a reset with the clock running down. It's every fucking possession, time after time, vs zones with this guy. He looks scared to death.
